Interesting and dead on. I attended both days. Wednesday show almost made me not want to return Thursday. I was a tad bore myself. That said, the sucker I am, I returned and it was a different experience. I truly enjoyed Thursday's. Even three or four of the songs were different which was so encouraging. Sound was off Wednesday night. Thursday not a glitch - a sweet performance indeed.

This album sounds like they are trying to appease those who didn't like INDIE. New Pixies trying to sound like Old Pixies to please people. Doesn't work. INDIE might not have sounded especially Pixie-ish, but once that hurdle is overcome it is a fine record. This one simply isn't. I'll take just about any Frank solo or Catholics album over this, barring CULT OF RAY.

Paz isn't the problem at all, by the way. She's fine. If she had perfectly replaced Kim in every way, I'm sure she'd get dissed for not having her own voice. Paz is Paz. Kim is Kim.

I agree that no one should talk about how great they are, but is the real complaint form you do to the fact that he blew you off when you came face to face with him. It might be because he didn't like your perhaps arrogant demeanor or maybe you were rude?? Ain't show business a bitch! LOL If he has a huge ego, it's because his fans gave it to him because he contributed to the happy part of their youthful day's, so what more do you want from him, remorse & sorrow. ;)

The idiot who wrote this is typical of the retards that live now day's. Maybe he should write an article on how much the (SO CALLED) music of HIS generation SUCKS! NOT one of these so called bands, if you want to call them that, could hold a candle to Donovan or any other great band that graced the early years. It's just envy & jealousy & a need to complain about those who are far & greater than the clowns of these day's who have ego's & mouths as big as a mountain but who can't back it up! It is true that no one should ever come across as a braggart, no matter how great they may have been & if famous, you should never make political statements or show your political views, because it detracts from what you are trying to accomplish & can ruin you! This is something that the junior punks need to keep fully in mind, because no one ever sucks up the fact that YOU are great because YOU think you are! YOU have to prove it! If you know you are great because YOU earned it & say nothing, but someone puts you down when they hear how great you are, it's always because they are envious & jealous because they can't or won't work hard at being great themselves. This is usually directed at older musicians by the young & stupid. I face this garbage all most all the time from the retard generation of losers! What gets me, is how up these retards are on the Beatles. All the news media & unholywood has to do, is pick some band of the Renaissance music day's, make them the thing because they were first in line & all the little punks will obey & follow. Here's some news for you fans of the media, there were bands back in the day that blew the Beatles out of the water & they were coming on like a locomotive. Only those who lived back in the day know this as facts. So put your little tin god away, he wasn't the best of the best...OK punks!

I was a big fan of Donovan's very cool music back in the day. Yes the infamous 60's; I was there and do remember it. I went to see him live and oh boy, back then he was exactly like this reviewer describes today. It was a sold-out show in Frisco, every kid in the place sitting on the floor waiting. He comes out in a flowing white robe like a religious lord and takes a seat with a guitar. Flowers stuck in his hair. Then he sat there and sat there, while the audience waited. Eventually he scolded the audience for not being totally quiet for his performance, saying that he wouldn't play until there was silence. Saying that we were acting like little children for talking. Bad move. People were basically aghast at this but we all shut up. then the music, which was very good. Thing is, he was so precious in himself during the whole thing that I was actually revolted and have never thought well of Donovan since. But I do love his songs.

Saw him at Madison Square Garden at the height of his popularity. He came out, sang for 35 minutes, got up and left the stage. No chit-chat, no encore, no nothing.Worst concert ever.
